Sunset at Molega
Sunset at Molega
There are just about a million ways to use half-square triangles in contemporary quilt making. They’re so hardworking, they even get their own abbreviation, HST for short.
This quilt uses only HSTs in its construction. The colours are (my faves) pinks, fuschias, corals, oranges, purples and darker reds, as well as some lilacs, periwinkles, greys, and dark blues.
Our cottage at Molega Lake, Queen’s County, was situated on the aptly named Sunset Linkway. Each summer night, we were treated to the Sunset show, and all along the shore, folks would set up their Adirondacks at the end of docks to tune in.
