This quilt is a traditional pattern called “Robbing Peter to Pay Paul.” Colour choices of burgundies, reds, pinks, and oranges were inspired by the Writers’ Federation of Nova Scotia’s Jampolis Cottage, and its spectacular setting overlooking the Minas Basin at Avonport.

In the centre of each full block is a hand-quilted letter; taken together, the message reads QUILTING IS ART.
